Before the sounds of car horns and subways underground?
We've built up all our stores and all our churches that stand strong
But your cement lawn won't last as long as sunrise at dawn

The beauty of the world around is fading away before our eyes

I'd hear your preacher's speech if he would teach it at the beach
For there the beauty of the earth is always within reach

When it was green, that was a sight to be seen
Can we ever be redeemed for replacing forest with fine cuisine?
